God's Plan of Salvation

How can I be saved today?

Understand four things:

1) Understand that God loves us:

1. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the __________, that He gave His only begotten Son, that

__________ believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

* God loves us so much that He was willing to give His Son Jesus Christ's life so we could live forever with Him!

* The two words you wrote in the blanks show us two aspects of God's love:
-”World” shows us that God loves everyone. Everyone who has ever been, or ever will be born,
    God loves!
-”Whosoever” shows us that God wants His love to be on a personal level with us, God wants to
    have a relationship with us!
-”Whosoever” means you - if you will put your faith in Jesus Christ today you will never perish,
    but have everlasting life!

2. (John 15:13) What is the greatest display of love that has ever been shown?

__________________________________________________________________________________

* There is no greater love on earth than the sacrificial love that Jesus Christ has displayed for us!

2) Understand why we need to be saved:

3. (Romans 3:23) “For all have __________ and come short of the glory of God.”

*We sin when we break God's law, and according to this verse everyone has!

4. Lets look at just two of the Ten Commandments, God's law:

* (Exodus 20:15) “Thou shalt not steal.”
-Have you ever taken anything that was not yours, even something small?

* (Exodus 20:16) “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”
-Have you ever told a lie, even a little white lie?

* Most likely you have answered yes to both of these - and if we covered the other eight your answer would probably be the same!

* The sad fact is, as (Romans 3:23) taught us, we have all sinned.

5. The reason we need to be saved is summed up in one verse of the Bible:

* (Isaiah 59:2) What do our iniquities (disobedience) do between us and God?

___________________________________________________________________________________

-What do our sins cause God to do?

    _____________________________________________________________________________

* Our sins and disobedience literally separate us from God, destroying any chance of relationship with Him or any chance of a home in Heaven for all of eternity.

3) Understand that in the name of Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved:

6. (John 14:6) Jesus said, “I am the __________, the __________, and the __________: no man

cometh unto The Father but my __________.

7. Read (Acts 4:12) speaking of Jesus Christ:

-Is there anyone else who can save us?______________________________________________

-Is there any other way to be saved?________________________________________________

* Only through Jesus Christ can we be saved today - there is no other way!

8. (1st Peter 2:24) Tells us why Jesus Christ is able to save us:

-”Who His own self bare __________ __________ in His own body on the __________ .”

* Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins when He died on the cross!

4) Understand we have to receive Jesus:

9. (John 1:12) What does Jesus give to those who will receive Him?

___________________________________________________________________________________

-”Even to them that __________ on His name.”

* Jesus died for everyone He loves, and we've learned that He loves everyone!

* But that does not mean that everyone is saved - only those who receive Him as their personal Lord and Savior are truly saved!

10. (Revelation 3:20) What does this verse show Jesus doing?

___________________________________________________________________________________

-What does He promise if we will invite Him in?

    _____________________________________________________________________________

11. (John 6:37) What does Jesus promise in this verse to those who will come to Him?

___________________________________________________________________________________

* Jesus will never turn away someone who calls out to Him in faith.

So how do we get saved?

12. (Romans 10:9) “That if thou shalt __________ with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt _________

in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou __________ __________ ___________ .

* The Bible shows us two things that we have to do to be saved - confess and believe.

* Lets think first about what you believe:

-Do you believe that God is real (Genesis 1:1)? ______________________________________

-Do you believe that there is a literal Heaven (Revelation 21:1-5)? _______________________

-That there is a literal Hell (Revelation 20:15)? ______________________________________

-Do you believe that The Bible is the word of God (2nd Timothy 3:16)? __________________

-Do you believe that Jesus is The Son of God (John 3:16)? _____________________________

-That Jesus died for your sins (1st Peter 2:24)? ______________________________________

* If you answered yes to all these questions, you believe everything you need to believe in order to be saved.

* To be saved today, confess to God that you need a Savior - call out to Jesus Christ in faith right now and ask Him to save you!

* You may wish to pray this simple prayer:
-Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying for me.
-I now confess that I am a sinner and need to be saved.
-I invite you, Jesus Christ into my life to be my personal Lord and Savior.
-Please give me a brand new life of living for You and lead me in Your will for my life.
    -Thank You for saving me!
-In the name of Jesus Christ I pray - Amen!
13. (Romans 10:13) What great promise does this verse make to those who will call upon the name of
The Lord?

___________________________________________________________________________________

* If you have invited Jesus Christ into your life, you are saved!

* Say a prayer right now thanking God for saving you!

* If you have accepted Jesus as your savior we would love to hear from you!
